On June 27, the Second Medical Center of CPLAGH invited Cherian Varghese, director of Division of Chronic Disease Management of the World Health Organization, to visit and make a specialized academic report. Director Varghese elaborated on the prevention and control of cardiovascular disease, focusing on the global development trend of patients with hypertension, global heart technology initiative, cardiovascular disease risk assessment and how to effectively manage high-risk factors, prevent myocardial infarction and stroke, etc. With the combination of illustrations and texts, Director Varghese introduced the strategies of tackling national health and chronic non-communicable diseases in a simple manner.
